12/31/2007  Wow !  The past year really flew by fast.  I guess time does fly when you're having fun. =D  Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you all will remember to drink responsibly and always remember to have that designated driver if you plan on going out and partying tonight. Please don't drink & drive.
As for the Ladys Paradise Server, we have some changes for the new year...
The new IP address for Ladys Paradise is 8.12.16.167:7777.  The reason for the change is that the old server is lagging badly and the test server is holding up well...so I decided out with the old and in with the new!  I've also added some new maps, new botskins/bots and plan on upgrading this website soon (I hope). I may also make some small changes to the server in the next year.
It's been a great past year and even though it seems that UT gamers are slowly dying out...I hope that if you do decide to keep playing, you'll visit LP for a fraggin' good time.  Our players are friendly and fair and we have a great time, so stop by and check it out. 
There's also a voting box on the home page of this site to vote for the top 200 UT gaming sites, so keep that in mind when you're visiting this site. Maybe LP can make it in the top 200 !  Also, please remember I am accepting donations at any time for the 2008 server thru PayPal (credit cards are accepted).  There's a donation box at the bottom of this page.  A big thanks to anyone who has donated to keep the server up so far, I couldn't have done it without your donations.

10/09/2007  Helloooooo.  =D  Hope you all had a great summer !  There've been a few updates to the server since last time I posted. The StealthTrans has been replaced with the HyperTrans (thanks ~V~ !).  Some of the players who said they hated it and couldn't use it tried again and are now kicking a$$ !  lol...keep it up guys... I'll be bald before Christmas !  *= P  
I also added Enhanced Redeemers which allows you to hold up to 10 Redeemers and there are two different speeds to the alt-click. To access the other speed you hold "Shift" and hit either of the firing buttons to launch a slower moving redeemer.  The HUD of the redeemer has little things that are added to it, like: team color, name of player, and their frags. Try it, you'll see what I mean. Much nicer than the default ones.

This past week, I've updated the cheat protection, so please bear with me until we get the bugs ironed out.  I know some of you have been kicked for Timeouts or uFunction calls. I'm working on that but you are going to have to email me and let me know what's happening because I'm not there all of the time and don't always catch it.  If someone who's getting kicked for a Timeout would try using another renderer besides D3D and try connecting, I would appreciate it. That's the only thing I've noticed so far that that's the same in all players who are experiencing this. And make sure your UT is updated to at least patch 436.  I wonder if these dumbass cheaters realize how much of a pain in the ass this is to everyone?

I've noticed more people playing on the server since the weather started getting cooler. It's great to see everyone coming back in and playing together. I'm not there every night, but almost...so stop in and play a few games...I added a few new maps that are really (graphically) cool.   =)

I'd also like to thank xcrf for the support on Ladys Paradise (you know what I mean), if not for x...LP may have been gone.  Thank you for being so generous. Love ya!   *smack !*

03/13/2007  Hi again, the website has been updated with a new area from Gamerservers called Gametracker. It will post all of the info. for Ladys Paradise Unreal Tournament Deathmatch server, which includes the network stability, the history of how busy the server has been by the hour, day, week or month. The game ranking (which right now folks is in the 90th percentile, which pretty much SUCKS people...so you better get out there and play and turn your friends on to UT 99 !) and also it's past rank. It also lists the TOP 100 Players on Ladys Paradise (I am number 10...so ha.ha.ha ha.haaaa) and what players are online. Favorite maps...and some banners you can use for forums or put on a website if you wish.  Nice touch...but not entirely reliable yet, as I saw it showed the server down today but it wasn't. I read on their site that it's a beta version and they haven't gotten all the bugs out yet. So far, so good. You can go to the full page by clicking either on the banner, or I have a link above it.

Rhiannon and I were talking and got on the subject of how dead UT servers have been lately. Is this just a passing thing or is everyone just taking a break?  I'm going to dump the TeamSpeak server since no one has been using it, it's just money down the drain and I can't afford that.  I may run one occasionally from my own computer when I need it.

If anyone has any photos they would like for me to add to this website, either email them to me or send me a link where I can copy it and I'll post it on the photos section of this site. You can send either real-life photos or screenshots from UT. Try not to make them larger than 100KB pls for space. If you have more than a few, we could photobucket them and then you could have a slideshow as I have on the Home page here. I'd just post a thumbnail of each player and it could link to a page with more photos.

02/26/2007  A|ice here. Glad to see you decided to stop by.  =)  As some of you know, I added a new mutator to Ladys Paradise called the StealthTrans. It doesn't replace your default translocator, it's an addition just as any other mutator weapon would be. It allows you to get out of a bad situation quickly and gets you across the map in no time.
Some players have said they can't get used to it and that it pops up when they respawn instead of the default weapon. It occasionally does this to me so if I decide not to use it and get out of there quickly...I just hit my scroll button for my default trans and do it as I  normally used to do.  I've talked to the modder who developed this mutator to see if there's a way to assign a key to this mod.  He said you could assign it to a key in your user.ini just like you do with weapons and keybinds.  To find out how, you can view the topic on our forum.

Bukie Monster has been pumping out a lot of great maps lately.  I know he can't have a great deal of free time working and having a baby in the house...so hats off to Bukie for sending these maps to LP.  =)  Thanks Bukie for sending us your talent...and I've seen them on other servers too...so you have more fans out there.

Don't forget there are skins and voicepacks in the files section of this site.  You'll be able to see and hear other players mods if you download them. Some of the voicepacks have profanity in them, fair warning.

Occasionally, I will turn a mutator on  on the server.  I did this last Friday with Fatboy. Some of the players didn't seem to know what was going on when at the end of the game they were pretty chubby.  With the Fatboy mutator, high-scoring players will get fatter and low-scoring players will get thinner. It usually gets a laugh or two at the end of the map...especially if the player dances.   =)

In closing, I'd like to bring up a subject that I was hoping I'd never have to bring up.  I don't want to get into details of my personal life, so I'll make this as short and informative as possible. Some of you know that I am no longer working due to a medical condition and some have offered to donate some funds to keep Ladys Paradise Server running. I have declined the offers, not only because of pride and independence but because I thought I could bring in some type of income by now. At this point, I have no income what-so-ever. I've been living off of my savings and after looking at my bank account this past weekend, I've decided to go ahead and accept donations for the upkeep of the server. Other servers and clansites accept donations, so I guess it's not so bad if it'll keep Ladys Paradise up. I don't like asking anyone for funding and I don't expect each or any of you to donate...so it's an option, not an expectation.  I'd like to thank those who've offered to help and also anyone who offers to help in the future.  Donations will be accepted at the PayPal link below.
